Terms of Service

Last updated July 19, 2026

These terms govern your use of Qoobeau, operated by SiliconBlast Ltd. (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, including the macOS, iOS, and Android apps, you agree to them.

Not tax, accounting, or legal advice

This matters, so it comes first. Qoobeau is bookkeeping software. It organizes your records and produces summaries and reports, including tax-oriented ones. It does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Automated categorization and extraction can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing your records and for the accuracy and completeness of anything you file with a tax authority.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and use Qoobeau for business or professional purposes.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are purchased on the Qoobeau website and processed by Stripe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the billing period you selected until cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time in Settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise in writing.
  • We may change pricing on notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.

Connected accounts

Qoobeau can connect to your bank through Plaid and to your mailbox through Google or Microsoft. You authorize those connections and can revoke them at any time. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of data supplied by those third parties, and your use of them is also governed by their own terms.

Your content

Your records remain yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, process, and display them so we can operate the service for you. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Qoobeau unlawfully, or to store or process data you have no right to.
  • Do not attempt to breach, disrupt, probe, or reverse engineer the service.
  • Do not resell or provide access to the service in a way not permitted by your plan.

Availability

We work to keep Qoobeau available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

Termination

You may stop using Qoobeau and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that we must act on for legal or security reasons. You can export your records before termination; see the Privacy Policy for what we retain afterwards.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or tax penalties. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Alberta have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms and will revise the date above. Continuing to use Qoobeau after a change means you accept the updated terms.
